Staff training is key…
We try hard to provide the best possible care which keeps our residents safe as well as provide them with a meaningful life in their sunset years. Central to this is staff capability and we place a great deal of importance to providing high quality training to all our staff which is relevant to their role.
All staff members undergo a six-week specialised induction programme this is compliant with Skills for Care guidelines and this is reviewed through regular observations, supervisions and annual appraisals.
Staff receive training through an online platform as well as face-to-face by qualified trainers which covers not only the mandatory areas, but numerous additional training that can enable staff to provide an even higher standard of care.
Each of our senior members of care staff is trained to at least a QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) and all new carers have to complete the Care Certificate (if they have not already completed a similar level of training) within a short period of commencing employment with Solomon Care Ltd.
